Organizing Your Promotional Product Needs

One of the things I love best about the new year is the ability to start over — the resolutions, the push towards organization, eating better, getting more exercise or sleep. Whatever it is you vow to do, it always seems more attainable at the start of a year.

One thing that’s helpful to do for your business is a year-end review and round up of what 2017 will bring. I advise clients to think about their promotional product needs at this time too because there are discounts for buying in bulk.

We’ve put together a promotional product needs assessment to help you take a look at your annual ordering. This list of questions will help keep you organized and give you a nice look at components of your promotional marketing budget.

 

Promotional Marketing Needs

  • How many conferences or trade shows will you be attending?
  • Are you launching a major product or service in 2017?
  • Have you moved in 2016 (or are you planning a move in the new year) and do you need new forms, stationery, brochures, business cards, appointment reminders, etc?
  • Are you launching an employee program (such as a wellness program) or an awards and recognition system?
  • Will you be attending any local fairs, expos, or speaking engagements?
  • Do you want to increase word-of-mouth marketing this year?
  • Do you need table tents for an event or for your office?
  • Do you plan on thanking customers in a stand-out way?
  • Will you be giving employee gifts in 2017?
  • Do you need to increase sales conversions this year?
  • Do you want to open lines of communication between you and someone else? You might be surprised how well a gift works.
  • Are you attending a golf tournament?
  • Are you rebranding or do you have a new logo?
  • Do you need to increase brand recognition? (and who doesn’t?)
  • Are you adding sales people? If you are, they should have branded materials of yours particularly if they conduct their sales in-person but away from the office.
